The four partners who founded the company in 1995 agreed to terms on an arrangement that transfers total ownership to the two active partners: Gita Lal, the CEO; and Bhala Ghatate, the VP of Technology. Departing from the Board of Directors are Alfredo Ramirez and his wife Emily. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.</p> <p>"In the business of consulting, agility is key," notes Lal. "To thrive, you must be able to expertly identify trends as they develop and quickly refocus your energy and resources accordingly. By consolidating ownership, we're streamlining the decision-making process, allowing all four original partners to pursue their interests discretely."</p> <p>Daman will continue to offer consulting services in the growing industry of Business Intelligence, while also focusing more attention on the company's software offerings. Daman has numerous products, including its Business Rules Management System (BRMS), an enterprise architecture solution for which the company has already secured two patents.</p> <p>Ghatate, who authored both patents, notes that the importance of business rules management will continue to grow in the coming years.
