Daman Grabs Gator's High-Volume Data Challenge
Gator.com is a leader in the "Smart Online Companion" space for consumers. It remembers passwords, fills forms, and brings special offers, making transactions on the web simpler and easier.
Project Objectives
To streamline the data acquisition strategy to better utilize the information collected about web surfers to provide highly targeted marketing campaigns such as coupons, discounts, referrals to Gator's affiliate websites. An infrastructure had to be built to support closed loop CRM.
Key Challenges
Gator had many million customers and incoming data volumes were in the high gigabyte range. An extremely efficient CRM system had to be developed to support real time marketing over the web.
Daman's Contribution
Daman re-architected the data acquisition infrastructure to accommodate complete data capture and enable highly efficient queries. Furthermore Daman technologists worked closely with Gator's marketing staff to develop processes to track registrations and referrals. A price configurator was also developed to support efficient vendor relationship management over the internet. The project scope has expanded to include multiple advertising and marketing campaigns.
